The Restoration Institute™
Restoration requires space, honesty, reflection, and permission to slow down.
Dr. Annise Mabry’s beach coaching and restorative retreat experiences are designed for leaders, caregivers, educators, founders, and women navigating burnout, emotional exhaustion, transition, and the invisible weight of constantly holding everything together.
Restoration Beyond Survival Mode
Many people have learned how to survive.
Far fewer have been given permission to rest, recalibrate, reflect, and rebuild without guilt.
This work was created for people who are functioning outwardly while quietly carrying exhaustion internally. People who have spent years solving problems, supporting others, leading organizations, advocating for communities, raising families, navigating grief, or surviving systems that rarely made space for their humanity.
Beach coaching and restorative retreats create intentional environments where people can step outside of urgency long enough to hear themselves again.
Why the Beach
The beach represents spaciousness.
It interrupts urgency.
It slows the nervous system enough for reflection to become possible.
For many people, the sound of water, open space, and physical distance from daily responsibilities creates the first opportunity they have had in years to think clearly without interruption.
This work uses environment intentionally because restoration is not only intellectual. It is emotional, physical, relational, and deeply human.
A Different Kind of Restoration Space
This work is not built around performance, perfection, or performative wellness culture.
It is grounded in:
- Restoration-centered reflection
- Trauma-informed leadership principles
- Guided journaling and self-examination
- Boundary and capacity conversations
- Emotional recalibration
- Reflective coaching
- Rest practices rooted in dignity instead of escapism
- Honest conversations about burnout, identity, grief, leadership, and survival
The goal is not to create temporary inspiration.
The goal is to help people reconnect with clarity, capacity, and a softer relationship with themselves.

The Core Philosophy
Rest is not weakness.
Slowing down is not failure.
Restoration is not about escaping responsibility.
It is about rebuilding the internal capacity required to carry responsibility without losing yourself in the process.
Restoration Is Not an Event,
It is the daily choice to respond with dignity.
Whether through retreats, reflective spaces, journal-centered restoration work, or healing-centered leadership conversations, this work exists to help people reconnect with themselves outside of constant urgency.
